04:40 pm - Getting kicked out! So because neither of my parents have worked in the last couple years. I get basically a full ride via fasfa at my school. Since I go to private school though I have to take out a small loan.Well a relatively small loan. I need a co-signer though, which is usually my mother. My mother has with held the information that she was too chickenshit to apply this year cause she has put herself into such bad credit that she will be refused of such loan. I have only found out today that because of this I owe the school money and will now be unable to apply for the following semester. Not only this but my transcripts will also be withheld. so i cant even try to transfer out. Im fucked. I spoke with someone today and they said that they will allow me to finish out the semester. Right now my option is that I will probably enroll in a community college as a first year and take math and science courses. Because if im not enrolled there is a whole other slue of subsidized loans in my name Ill have to pay back. This sucks
This month has been really hard. I recently found out my father is hospitalized in a critical condition. So ive been kind of a wreck recently.
If my mom hadnt withheld the info from me for so long I probaly would hve been able to apply for some grants.I have about three weeks before the enrollment period begins. I have been thinking of ways in which to get money. Check it out total inspiration

09:13 am So last night
I went on a drag date last night. i looked fine, HAd a great wig and a rose sun dress. My partner looked like a tough guy hardcore kid. She even put mascara on her "peach fuzz" so shed have a nice mustache. We had a nice date Went to the mexico Pride rally in little village, got vegan tortas, then walked along the lake hand in hand. it was real romantic. Anyways I hadnt got threatened that much. I think I pass alright. You couldnt tell my masculinity. I only got called out once the whole night some teenagers.
Anyways Im on the train were making out. "little Bird" says that someones watching. I say its ok people have been giving us looks all night. I go in to kiss she pushes back. She says no that dudes beating off. I look up and theres another brown brother with bleached dreads with his dick in his hands. He looks me straight in the eye and says "dont stop"
We move to the back of the train so he cant see us. Creeped the fuck out. I look back occasionaly to see if his ass is watching. He is. So its almost are stop. I look in my reflection, and the motherfucker is hovering right behind me. I jump outta my seat. I say what the fuck are you doing back here. Step off mother fucker. I snap my fingers and order him to move to another train. All the time he has a huge boner poking through his sweat shirt. Right then He only relised I wasnt a girl. He curls his head. I say whatcha looking at motherfucker, step off. he walks closer. So i pull up my dress exposing the bulge in my panties, as well as pull the blade I had clipped to them. I flick it open and move forward. He walks off.
Overall a good date.

12:56 pm MOst recently we traveled out to Catemaco. ITs outside of VeraCruz. The town Has a population of 20000 and 200 working brujos or witches. We ended up staying with a family of practicing shamans. They were insane. They told us wuild stories about battles with other witches and their origins. Firstly they were a couple Juanita, and Vicotor Fernandez. They had three really adorable kids. Juanita claims to be the daughter of the last saudi king. She says that Her mother was one of his harems. Apparently this king had 2000 children. After his death his male children received inheritance, and the women received little monetary supposrt. She says her family visits her often and when they do they come in full anterage. They come with body guards weilding gifts, stretch hummers, ect. HEr husband is a tour guide working for the state. He told us though that he is also a working herbalist and shaman practicing white magic. Where most of the brujos in that town practiced black magic. Because he is one of the few practicers of white magic alot of the other brujos have been trying to run him out. He told us a story about a month prior when ( keep in mind this was all translated to me so its probaly lost some girth) him and his wife got into a fight he went out for a walk and he sees a figure in the street. It is a floating white robed figure. He has a black painted face bright red eyes and diamond layed teeth. HE becomes frozen and then sees a local witch behind him. He runs home. The next day he goes to the witches home and demands an explaination. The witch says that he was commissioned by a couple local brujos to run him out. We met them by the shore. I was playing soccer with a 7 year old when they came up. They asked if we were new in town, and we replied yes. They said they had a small house but a large front yard, and if we had a tent we could camp out there. We followed them. They told us stories and fed us. The next morning they fed us again a very delicious rice pudding. They do not have a kitchen, but a hot plate on which she cooks. It is a full house of children, but still they helped us. We felt that maybe we should donate a few dollars for hospitality, but they refuse. We leave them and go to the shore. We pay a boatman to tkae us to the island of aligators and monkeys. It is beautiful. The monkeys are hulariously fat. Apparently they arnt natural but have been donated by a Tailand research institute. They have only occupied the island for 40 years and have a person who drops off a pile of banananas every day. We get back to the shore and the witches are waiting for us. They say they have been looking for us and would like to take us into the rainforest to have us meet a famous shaman. We ride in the back of a pickup. The drive is beautiful. Vast farmland rolling hills trees ive never seen. We get off on the side of a dirt rode and walk into a small town. Maybe population 20 homes. Mostly farmhouses. We walk into the forest until we see a yurt surrounded by chickens and a cow. We go in and there is a man dressed in all white. HE invites us to sit. The yurt is builtup of bamboo and canvas. It is amazing. The table is filled with food yogurt and coffee. He tells us that they are offerings to the gods. Victor makes us coffee. It is homegrown and comes with fresh gotten milk from the cow. He speaks with ezra mostly. Ezra is having trouble translating for the things he is telling him are so odd. The walls are filled with tincters. There are hundreds of bottles. The tincters are made up of 24 local plants. They are hollistic medicines. Victor is very pleased to give us as much coffee as we want. I have at least five cups. By this time the room begins to spin. I feel very displaced. They talk about the power of the forest and its ability to alter people from its energy. I am only getting varied descriptions of the translation. Something about aliens, end of times, energy. Regardless I realize that my coffee has been drugged with there holy tincters and that I was extremely high. I refused anymore coffee in fear that I might get taken advantage of. We are all getting uncomfortable. We are gesturing to leave. Juanita comes over above me and casts a spell over my skull this takes about ten minutes. I feel it, I feel things rising shifting moving. She finshes and says that she has alterd a physical diformity that I had had on my skull. I ackwardly thank her. They walk us to a road where we can hitch a ride deeper in the forest to another shore. They leave We all discuss that we were drugged, and what the main witch was saying. Apparently The world was being assulted by sickness. MAGNETIC WAVES attacking our brains(thats why he always wears a hat) A war in the heavons that is resulting in global disease. (why he makes his tincters) lots of things. It was insane .Martians ect. We catch a ride to Montapio a shore town with a small population moslty farmers. We rest camp on the beach.
IM back in MExico City now we are going to alcapolco soon. We are scamming our way into a resort out there for free. From there I am busing back to Tucson Maybe for only a couple weeks. I love and miss you all Ill see you soon.

01:37 am Ive been in Mexico City for the last week. I wont be coming back to Tucson for some time. Possibly until December. Ill be in Mexico City till the 10th of july then to oaxoca, and eventualy Chiapas. My friend has been in contact with the Zapatista villages in both oaxoca and chiapas, we will end up staying in each place as ´´human rights observers´´
Mexico City is an amazing place i have never come to a city so large, and beautiful. We are staying with my roomate ezra´s family. He has been in the US for 11 years, but now has gotten citizenship and can return to Mexico without fear of not being let back. His family lives in a small flat in the colonia chipoltipec. Regardless of size and expense they have been most hospitible. I have made many friends so far in the city. I met a large group of skateboarders at the local street spot Jardin de arte. They speak little english, but I have been trying to learn spanish. What comes out between us is a semi-cohesive spanglish. They are very welcoming though and have shown us the underground of Mexico.
Right now I am in a small colonial town outside of the city. We caught a ride in today and have been staying at a cheap hostel. The town´s name is Guanajuato, it is most extravagant. The town is a old spanish colony, and most of the stone is as old as 600 years. The city is beautifully built for this reason.
Ezra translates most of my conversations to people. I have been feeling extremely ignorant for the languge barrier that exists between me and my people. Emersion is helping though I think I am learning more every day. Well I miss you all
hasta luego

01:16 am Things have been really intense lately. Im taking 18 creds this semester (6 classes) four of which are a 9-4 hour schedule. Four are studio courses, and two are literature and film. Im so fucking busy these days. I miss having some sort of social live. occasionally I make it to a basement show or a potluck or something, but usually reading, drawing painting etc. Im running out of energy.
All Is not so bad though. I haven't let myself fail so far. Ive been getting really good reviews from most my classes, and have kept up pretty much with all my assignments. In my main class titled "CORE: Interdisciplinary arts" I have gotten selected to receive a scholarship for next year. I got it based out of a pool of fifty kids, based on my portfolio. Also other news I got a show at a pretty popular cafe in the southwest side "pilsen" area
Im pared up with a photographer ive been working with lately. Besides this Ive been working on another project. I started a newspaper with 7 other kids its a radical publication which will distro its first edition, on mayday at the big rally. We are shooting for 1-2 thousand copies. We have a friend that does offset printing. So well get a good price for printing.
Other than projects and work The family that Ive made out here is slowly falling apart. The warehouse I live in is over. The kids i live with want to start a new space, but what happened is we got a eviction notice for issues with the landlord. They are starting a new co-op, but Ive kindof split from the group. Everything changed its not the same group I came into. I think things just naturally change, but Im not sticking around to see it happen.
this was my room It was nicknamed the nook before I moved into it. Its the space between the walls and the actual rooms. I was able to fit a desk into it and a bed.

but I was able to make it my own
Ive been homeless again only for a couple week. Ive bought a tent and have been living on a roof off of damen, but it started snowing again. So ill be doing couches till it warms up again. ITS APRIL, AND THE WARMEST ITS BEEN ALL WEEK WAS 40!
I would like to know what everyone been up to these days.

09:36 am Been back in chicago for a little now I started my Job its really easy. Im actually working it right now there is literally now one in the building because its a saturday so i just get to chill out. I started my class yesterday "letterpress bookmaking"its amazing. we get to work with these gigantic letter press machines. Although they are machines the whole thing feels really hand made. We looked at some the past student works they were amazing illustrated kids books with letter art, propaganda, design work, all these really beautifully bound book with so many differently patterns printed on them. Im really nervous, yet extremely excited. We had a show last night it was great it was a Show in benefit of a music school that was destroyed in the invasion of GAZA. We had poets, political based spoken word, three punk bands, two hiphop artists, and a metal band. We raised over 500 and it was all from donation at the door. This money came from really normal punk kids it was amazing to see so many people come together and throw down to help. Current Music: FIFTEEN - LANDMINE

06:24 am A mix of outside depression and anxiety about leaving to Chicago.
I Got really out of it this last week or week in a half emotional and awkward sorry if I put anyone off.
but
Ive seen a lot in this last six months and have learned so many things, but coming back here I realized how much I have and how much I give up by leaving. When I first left Tucson it was a little easier because of how excited I was about venturing into new things. This time ive seen a little more, but Arizona and its people still amaze me. Coming back from Chicago I got very anxious about what changes might have happened to the folk out here, but everyone is taller and more of a beautiful person than when I left.
Im really glad that everyone spent so much time with me while Ive been here I didnt feel as if i left. Im sorry that i didnt get to spend as much time with certain people as id had liked to, but hopefully some people might be able to make it out to Chicago.
Maxwell McClure Foster I hope nothing but the best for you I hope Ecuador is Amazing
Safe travels!
Also thanks for the Cookies Robert and Catlin they were really delicious. Heres my email if anyone ever feels like writing me sherna1@saic.edu
ill especially miss Robert Frontz thanks for always been a good friend - (im pressuring you into coming out to Chicago)
